Department Information

    The Jamestown Police Department operates 24 hours a day / 7 days a week / 365 days a year with a staff of 15 sworn officers. These sworn officers are assisted by 5 civilian dispatchers (4 full-time and 1 part-time), 1 civilian animal control officer, and 1 administrative assistance. In the summer months two harbormasters (1 full-time and 1 part-time) patrol the Jamestown waters.

    Each year the number of calls for service and the number of arrests the Department has rises. The Jamestown Police continue to handle the increased activity each year with the resources that are available.
